Young Frankenstein Tickets

The current U.S. tour of "Young Frankenstein" will feature a number of performances on the East and West Coasts, as well as some stops in the Midwest. Performances are planned through mid-2010, with an average of 12 stops in each city.

"Young Frankenstein," based upon the 1974 Mel Brooks classic movie"Young Frankenstein," is based upon the book written by Brooks and the film's star, Gene Wilder. The film is a parody of the horror film genre, particularly "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein."

The plot revolves around surgeon Frederick Frankenstein's inherits the castle of his scientist-grandfather Victor, he stumbles across a book that proves Victor's zany creations are scientifically sound, and hilarity ensues.

The show opened in Seattle for a tryout in 2007, and then moved onto Broadway that same year.
The original Broadway production included Roger Bart as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, Shuler Hensley as the monster, and also featured Megan Mullally of "Will and Grace" fame as Elizabeth Benning. For the tour, both Bart and Hensley are returning, and Cory English, Brad Oscar, Beth Curry, Joanna Glushak and Anne Horak are also on board.

Musical numbers from the hit include "Surprise," "Man About Town," "Puttin' on the Ritz" and "Deep Love."
