Perfect Crime News and Information Perfect Crime—New York's longest non-musical play—is back for yet another year. The murder mystery of whodunit, with a suspicious detective, a psychiatrist wife and a dead husband, keeps the drama running in the single set play, which began in 1987.

Warren Manzi's longtime play has defied the odds since 1987, when the show began. The cast has changed, the venue has changed, but the suspense and terror brought to the audience from this successful play have stayed the same.

It begins in a well-to-do neighborhood in Connecticut with a murder—or does it? A local detective is searching for the person who killed Margaret Thorne Brent's husband, and he suspects Margaret is the killer. But how can he solve this crime when the husband shows up later? Throughout the play, confusion and terror build, and things get messy as Margaret deals with her new feelings for the detective who is trying to prove she murdered her husband…and possibly more.

Perfect Crime is playing at the Snapple Theater Center-Duffy Theater in New York City for 145 shows beginning July 26.
