Legally Blonde News and Information Legally Blonde is touring the U.S. over the next year, including extended stints in Seattle, Wash., and Detroit, Mich., among many other shorter stays across the country.

The play, based on the hit movie starring Reese Witherspoon released in 2001, is a hilarious take on a sorority star who makes her way to Harvard. Just when she thinks she's in over her head, she shakes things up and learns that staying true to herself is really the most stylish way to be.

The critically-acclaimed show features Becky Gulsvig, who has held roles such as Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray, Wendy in Peter Pan and Patty Simcox in Grease. Rhiannon Hansen, a finalist on MTV's reality show "Legally Blond - The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods," is featured in the tour as Margot.

Jerry Mitchell, who has worked on the Tony-Award winning "La Cage Aux Folles" revival, holds the spot as director/choreographer - music and lyrics are by Laurence O'Keefe an Nell Benjamin, and scene designer David Rockwell.
