In The Heights Tickets

In The Heights News and Information New Broadway production "In the Heights" will be traveling through 2010, including stops in Boston, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and San Diego.

Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the music and lyrics in an interpretation of Quiara Alegria Hudes' book of the same name. The score includes an exciting mix of salsa, meringue, soul and hip-hop, while telling the tale of three days in the lives of characters in a Latino neighborhood in New York City.

The production includes a series of vignettes that create a backdrop of urban life. It features Usnavi and his Cousin Claudia, who have finally worked to achieve their goal of returning to the Dominican Republic to open a bar. Nina, who is fighting her feelings of being an outsider at Stanford University after freshman year, is in love with Benny, a non-Latino.

It tells tales of the group's struggle and heartache, while at the same time painting a tremendous picture of family and friends.

The production was nominated for thirteen Tony Awards and won for "Best Musical" in 2008. This is the production's first tour.
