Curtains the musical is coming to the Walnut Street Theatre throughout October 2010 and Houston's Hobby Center in April 2011.

Based on the unfinished book by Peter Stone, the musical was first brought to the stage in 2006 at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. After minor alterations, the production came to Broadway in March 2007 at the Al Hirshfield Theatre in New York.

To date, the musical has received eight Tony Award nominations.

If you're a fan of mystery, then this is the show for you. Set in Boston in 1959, the performance follows the events when the untalented star of "Robbin' Hood of the Old West" is murdered during opening night.

It seems no one is sad to see the leading lady has been murdered: The show's financial backer was upset at the negative reviews and the other members of the play see a chance to take better roles. Then, the plot thickens as a police detective reveals that members the cast have been blackmailed and someone else turns up dead.

In the midst of the investigation, the police detective begins an unlikely romance and reveals a love for theatre. He's driven to solve the crime, but is it for the right reason?
