Revolution 2009 Season Update
Posted 7/19/2009
The New England Revolution is currently 4-5-5 and has just one team separating them from the cellar in the division.
The Revolution, one of the original teams of the MLS, will need to step it up in the next few weeks if they want to be a a part of the postseason.
With 17 total points, they trail division-leading Chicago by 8 points and three other teams by 7.
They started off the season the way you would want, winning two of their first four with two ties.
New England has played well against DC United this year, winning once and earning a draw in their other matchup.
Shalrie Joseph leads the club with five goals while Steve Ralston has found the back of the net on four occasions.
The Revolution has done a nice job of avoiding the red card, as only Emmanuel Osei has picked one up this year.
