2011 Atlantic 10 Tournament Preview The Atlantic 10 tournament often gets overlooked because of some of the other top conferences, but there is a lot of great basketball to be seen.

This year's tournament is being played in Atlantic City, and outside of New York, it's probably set in the most exciting city from a tourist standpoint. There is plenty to do in between games, making it a worthwhile trip.

Xavier earned the top seed in the tournament as the regular season conference champion and is a heavy favorite. The Musketeers make noise in the NCAA tournament on an annual basis, but that doesn't mean they won't have plenty of challengers for the conference tourney title.

Temple has a number of big wins over the course of the year and won't be afraid of Xavier. Richmond is also a quality basketball team and will be fighting to secure their NCAA tournament berth.

Duquesne spanked Temple earlier in the year but knows nothing less than a deep tournament run and possibly even winning the whole thing will get them into the Big Dance.

Also look out for darkhorses like George Washington and St. Joseph's, two basketball programs that have fallen on hard times but have been among the Atlantic 10's elite teams in past years.
