It's late in the college football season so that can only mean one thing: Bowl season is right around the corner!
There is nothing better than spending the holidays watching college football game after college football game. What a great way to close out 2008 and move into 2009!
As usual, the BCS championship game and the other major bowls in the BCS will be the headliners, but there are plenty of great games outside of the ones involving teams from major conferences.
There is a new bowl this year being played in Washington, D.C. on December 20 at RFK Stadium called the Congressional Bowl and it is sure to be a success. Not only is the game being played in one of the great, historic stadiums in the country, but it will feature the Navy Midshipmen.
All of the BCS games (Fiesta Bowl, Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl) will be played in early January, with the national championship game capping off what has been a wild and crazy season on January 8, 2009 in Miami.
The past two championship games have been blowouts, but don't expect the same result this year. With Ohio State out of the picture after two disappointing performances in the championship game and Penn State losing to Iowa, the Big 10 won't have a team playing for the title.
The result will be two fast, explosive teams from major conferences playing in the most exciting game of the year.
No matter the game, don't miss out on your chance to be a part of the height of the college football season! Get your tickets to the big game today from Great Seats!
