St Louis Blues 09-10 Season Wrap Up
Posted 4/21/2010
The St. Louis Blues came up just a little short of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The Blues were an outstanding road team but played just .500 hockey at home, and that was the difference in failing to reach the playoffs.

The team did finish the season on a strong note, so there should be momentum heading into next year.

There will be a major change next season with veteran center Keith Tkachuk expected to announce his retirement. He was one of the team's top players and provided great leadership that will be dearly missed.

Eric Brewer is actually the team's captain, but is not a fan-favorite at all. That sentiment only increased this season, so leadership will be a big question mark heading into next year.

Also, Larry Pleau is stepping down as the general manager of the team after 13 years in the organization. As you can see, offseason turmoil seems to be in the cards for the Blues.

Head coach David Payne said that he hopes more players step up and take charge next season, but who even knows if he will return with a new general manager taking over the reins.
