St Louis Blues 2011-12 Mid-Season Review
Posted 2/3/2012
The St. Louis Blues have finally once again emerged as a legitimate hockey team, currently sitting in second place in the Central Division.

It seems like it has been forever since the days of Brett Hull leading the Blues to several playoff berths, and St. Louis hockey fans sure are excited to have a contender to root for again.

Like the first place Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis has been nothing short of phenomenal at home, where they have lost only three games over the course of the first half of the season. St. Louis has been terrific on the defensive end of the ice and has received solid play from Brian Elliott in goal.

St. Louis is just a few points behind the Red Wings, so they could make a big push for the division title and No. 1 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. I still don't think this team is quite on the Detroit's level just yet, but they will be a group to be reckoned with come playoff time.
