San Jose Sharks Seating Chart

The San Jose Sharks are currently the top team in the Western Conference, taking over Detroit's usual perch.

Amazingly, the Sharks have lost just eight games the entire season. That is truly an astounding accomplishment.

They hold a dominant lead in the Pacific Division, and will likely clinch the title in a matter of days.

The Sharks do have a difficult schedule upcoming, with three of their next five games on the road and many of them against quality teams.

However, it's just simply another opportunity for the Sharks to exercise their dominance over the rest of the NHL and prove yet again that they are the team to beat in this year's postseason.

Joe Thornton leads the club in points and assists with 68 and 53, respectively. Patrick Marleau leads the club with 33 goals.

Evgeni Nabokov has been solid in goal, giving up 2.44 goals per game and stopping 91 percent of the shots he has faced.

As solid as he has played, backup Brian Boucher has been just that much better. He is 9-1 in 13 games with a miniscule 1.79 goals against average. He is also stopping over 93 percent of the shots on goal.

How would you like to have a backup goalie with those kinds of numbers? It really makes San Jose a frightning team to play when you know they can pull a goalie with that kind of talent off of the bench.

The Sharks seem poised to clinch the No. 1 overall seed in the Western Conference, and given the type of season they have had, anything less than a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals would be an incredible disappointment.
