Philadelphia Flyers 2010-11 Mid-Season Review
Posted 1/31/2011
The Philadelphia Flyers have picked back up right where they left off at the end of last season and sit in first place in the Atlantic Division.
Despite playing in one of the toughest divisions in hockey, the Flyers have managed to stay on top of the intrastate rival Pittsburgh Penguins.
While the Flyers have played well at home, they have been sensational on the road. It comes as no surprise that Danny Briere and Mike Richards have lead the way in goals and assists.
Sergei Bobrovsky and Brian Boucher have split time in the net and been almost equally as good as each other. The two have almost identical save percentages and goals against averages. It's a great feeling to have two quality goaltenders to call on at any time.
The Flyers made a surprising playoff run last year before coming up just one goal short of hoisting the Stanley Cup. Now that they have the experience, it seems like they are primed to finish the job this year.
