New Jersey Devils 2010-11 Season Preview
Posted 9/28/2010
The New Jersey Devils edged out the Pittsburgh Penguins for the Atlantic Division title last year, but it's sure to be an even harder task this upcoming season.

The team is looking forward to getting the bad taste out of their mouths after getting knocked out of the first round of last year's playoffs to the Philadelphia Flyers, who eventually lost in the Stanley Cup Finals.

Zach Parise led the team last year in goals and assists and should only blossom further this season. He has all of the talent in the world and has proven to be their go-to scorer in clutch situations.

Ilya Kovalchuk was the big topic of the offseason as the Devils tried to sign him to an incredibly lengthy and expensive deal. The contract finally got approved, and he will be another big scoring threat alongside Parise.

One area the Devils never need to worry about is their goaltender.
Veteran Martin Brodeur is still one of the best in business and is especially effective come playoff time.

The Devils have remade their roster since the days of Claude Lemieux and probably have their most talented team since the last time they won the Stanley Cup. It won't be easy, but this team has a chance to do some special things. Hopes are high in New Jersey for a special season.
