Nashville Predators 2011-12 Mid-Season Review
Posted 2/3/2012
The Nashville Predators currently sit in a third place tie the Central Division, which doesn't begin to tell you how well the team has played in the first half of the season.
Sitting in third place in a five-team division doesn't sound great, but you have to consider the incredible competition this year in the Central Division, clearly the NHL's most competitive.
Nashville went on an absolute tear heading into the All-Star break, winning nine of their final 10 games. It would be next to impossible to sustain that type of success, but it's going to take something close to it if they want to have any shot at winning the division crown and the top seed in the Western Conference.
The Predators are an up-and-coming team that seems to be getting better and better with each passing year. Call me crazy, but I do think they have a shot at overtaking both Detroit and St. Louis and claiming that top seed in the playoffs, though it certainly won't be easy.
