The Anaheim Ducks are currently in last place in the Pacific Division and in need of a serious second half push to have any playoff hopes.

The Ducks are the third-worst team in the entire NHL based upon their points and there is no reason to expect a big change anytime soon. They are just one game above the .500 mark at home and have not played well on the road.

Anaheim would likely have to go on a historic tear to have a chance to reach the postseason, especially given the competitiveness of the Western Conference. That said, they are off to a great start, having gone 8-1-1 in their past 10 games to finish the first half of the season on fire.

This team simply doesn't have the talent to continue to play at this level for the rest of the season, so I don't see any remarkable runs to the postseason. With that said, just continuing to play better hockey throughout the second half of the season would build hope and momentum going into next year.
