Dallas Stars 09-10 Season Wrap Up
Posted 4/21/2010
The Dallas Stars finished dead last in the Pacific Division, but were only seven points away from a playoff spot.
The team played well above .500 on home ice but was not nearly as successful on the road.
Brendan Morrow wasn't happy with the team's finish and said that the Stars cannot afford to continue living in the past off of their glory days in the late 90's. He said it's time for the team to go out and start creating their own glory days.
Mike Modano, one of the leaders of those glory days teams, is unsure whether he will return or opt for retirement. Losing Modano would certainly hurt and be a changing of the guard so to speak, but his best days are certainly well behind him at this point.
He missed 23 games in the regular season and finished with just 30 points, which is hardly up to his standards. I'm sure he would like to continue to play, but only if he can do so at a high level.
