Columbus Blue Jackets 2011-12 Mid-Season Review
Posted 2/3/2012
The Columbus Blue Jackets are the NHL's worst team after the first half of the season, and sadly for everyone involved, it isn't even close.
Columbus recorded just 32 points in the first half of the year, which is nine less than the next closest team. Their negative goal differential is almost double that of the second-worst club, showing just how dire things are for the Blue Jackets.
The Blue Jackets have given up the second-most goals in the NHL and tied for the second fewest scored, which just shows how truly awful this team is. Such disparity gives little hope for the rest of the season, and you can tell given the number of empty seats in their home arena.
There isn't much to say about this group. They are essentially just playing out the season in the second half, though management and fans alike would certainly appreciate at least some type of improvement to give them hope going into next year.
