Final Four Tickets

The 2008 Final Four is fast approaching and it will be hard-pressed to top last year's culmination of the college basketball season, which resulted in a historical moment not often see in the sport..

The 2007 Final Four saw the Florida Gators become the first back-to-back national champions since Duke accomplished the same feat in 1991 and 1992. All of the team's underclassmen returned for another season and were rewarded by hoisting the championship trophy into the air for the second year in a row.

The Gators cruised past the UCLA Bruins for the second consecutive year to reach the national championship game, where they met the Ohio State Buckeyes, who slipped past Georgetown.

Florida then rather easily disposed of the Buckeyes and talented center Greg Oden, who simply couldn't do enough to single-handedly keep his team in the game.

Looking ahead to this year, the Final Four will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on April 5 and 7. Tickets are already all sold out in anticipation of another terrific weekend of championship basketball, so be sure to check out availability on Great Seats.

This year's NCAA tournament field will be wide open so it really is almost a complete tossup on who might end up in the Final Four. The underclassmen from Florida all decided to make the leap to the NBA, as did Oden, leaving both teams decimated and creating a wide open field for 2008.

Undefeated Memphis certainly seems like a strong possibility while North Carolina, Duke, Tennessee, UCLA, Georgetown and Kansas all seem poised for a deep run in the tournament.

Or maybe mid major teams like Butler and Drake will crash the party and prove once again that any team with some talent and a lot of heart can catch fire in March and make things exciting.

That's the best part about March and the madness that comes with it. Crazy things can happen, and every once in awhile you get a tremendous Final Four like we saw in 2007.
