Portland Trail Blazers 2010 Playoffs Preview Despite all of the injuries this year, the Portland Trail Blazers have still managed to reach the postseason.

The Trail Blazers lost two important big men in Greg Oden and Joel Pryzbilla to season-ending knee injuries. Those injuries forced Portland to make a trade, and they landed center Marcus Camby from the Los Angeles Clippers. Camby has been nothing short of fantastic with the Blazers, getting after things on the defensive end and giving LaMarcus Aldridge some help in the low post.

The latest injury is a major concern, as star Brandon Roy tore the meniscus in his knee. His status for the playoffs is very much in doubt, which could mean a very short stay for the Trail Blazers.

Roy is the team's leading scorer and undisputed leader. He also plays outstanding defense and makes all of the little plays that add up at the end of the game and often make the difference between winning or losing.

Still, the team managed to reach the 50-win mark for the second straight year, something that made head coach Nate McMillan very proud. He believes it is a sign that the young team is progressing into a contender.

A big part of the success has to be given to their deep bench, which has helped to compensate for all of the injuries.

The Blazers did settle their crowded situation at point guard by trading away Steve Blake. That's left veteran Andre Miller as the undisputed starter and rookie Jerryd Bayless to inherit the backup role.

Without Roy, the Blazers will be eliminated very quickly in the first round of the playoffs. If Roy can play and can do so at his usual high level, the Blazers could prove to be a tough out and might be able to spring an upset.
