Portland Trail Blazers 2010-11 Mid-Season Review
Posted 1/26/2011
The Portland Trail Blazers continue to hang tough despite another season beset by injuries to their top players.

The Blazers have slipped to fourth place in the Northwest conference but remain safely above .500 and right in the mix for a postseason spot.

The team has had to overcame a season-ending injury to Greg Oden and major knee issues with star Brandon Roy. Roy's loss hurts the most, and he might be out a few months, if he returns at all this season.

LaMarcus Aldridge has really emerged as a low-post scoring threat, averaging over 20 points and eight rebounds per game. However, Marcus Camby has been derailed by injuries and contributed very little to the team.

Wesley Matthews continues to surprise. After many criticized the contract Portland gave him in the offseason, he has averaged 16 points per game. It will be up to him to pick up some of the slack for the injured Roy.

Without Roy, the Blazers are probably finished. Despite all of the young talent on the roster, Roy is their leader and go-to player in crunch time. Without him, the top teams in the West are just too good.
