New Jersey Nets 09-10 Season Wrap Up The New Jersey Nets avoided making history in the worst way possible by winning a couple of key games down the stretch.

The Nets had to battle tooth and nail to avoid losing the most games in a season in league history. They ended up with a double-digit win total, which seemed uncertain at best early in the season.

At least with New Jersey, as bad as things seem at the moment, there is some hope for the future given some of the events that have transpired away from the court.

They are going to eventually relocate and move into a new, state-of-the-art arena, and the team was recently purchased by a Russian billionaire who seems intent on winning basketball games.

Then there is the fact that a bunch of stars are hitting the free agent market this summer and the Nets figure to be a big player for all of them, especially LeBron James.

Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z has a small stake in the Nets and is good friends with James, so there is hope that he can help lure him to New Jersey. If he can, the Nets look like a budding contender.
