New Jersey Nets 2010-11 Mid-Season Review
Posted 1/25/2011
The New Jersey Nets were one of the worst teams in the history of the NBA last year, and sadly, not much has changed this season.

The Nets have had to deal with plenty of distractions, the biggest of which revolves around the potential Carmelo Anthony trade. Rumors have been floating around for three months with still no deal in place.

New Jersey has a couple of solid pieces in place, but lacks a superstar and a bunch of role players.

Brook Lopez is averaging 19 points per game and has become a
legitimate scoring threat in the low post. Devin Harris has a bright future at point guard, but it's hard for him to rack up assists without any scorers surrounding him.

Terrence Williams has been a tremendous disappointment, especially considering his wealth of talent. It's unfortunate that he hasn't shown the maturity necessary to harness his great talent and put it to good use.

The Nets are more likely to end up with the worst record in the Eastern Conference than reaching the playoffs, but the parity in the league at least keeps that possibility alive for the time being.
