Miami Heat 2010-11 Mid-Season Review
Posted 1/25/2011
The Miami Heat obviously had a very active offseason, but the early returns weren't very positive, causing many to push the panic button much too soon.
The Heat looked like a team confused as to who should take the big shot and run the offense. LeBron James seemed conflicted by taking a backseat to Dwayne Wade while Chris Bosh looked really unhappy to be in Miami.
Things have changed drastically over the past month, and suddenly the Heat is atop the Eastern Conference. The players have finally settled into their roles, and Miami now looks the part of a title contender.
Bosh is playing much better while Wade and James aren't on floor at the same time nearly as much as the used to be. That means each is able to do their thing when they are on the court, and they are also staying more rested that way.
It also helps that Miami now has Mike Miller back after he suffered an injury before the start of the season. His outside shooting adds another dimension to the Miami offensive attack.
The Heat still aren't the favorites to win the Eastern Conference, but they look much more formidable of late. It would be a tremendous matchup if and when they run into Boston in the playoffs.
