Los Angeles Clippers 2010-11 Mid-Season Review
Posted 1/26/2011
The Los Angeles Clippers have drawn a lot of interest for a team with a losing record thanks to the healthy return of rookie Blake Griffin.
Griffin missed all of last year after blowing out his knee, making this his rookie season. His unbelievable athleticism has left many jaws wide open throughout the first half of the season.
He is averaging over 22 points and 12 rebounds per game, simply ridiculous numbers from a rookie coming off of a serious knee injury. He plays the game with such intensity and recklessness that it's slightly concerning.
Point guard Eric Gordon leads the team, scoring 24 points per game. He has carried the momentum over from an impressive performance at the world championships into the second half of the season.
Even veteran guard Baron Davis seems inspired by playing with Griffin. He is 11 points and six assists per game while taking a backseat to Gordon.
Despite sitting in fourth place in the Pacific Division, the Clippers are at least showing signs of hope for the future. So long as Griffin stays healthy, Los Angeles will an interesting team to watch.
