Indiana Pacers 2011-12 Season Preview
Posted 12/21/2011
The Indiana Pacers play in what many consider to be the home of the game of basketball, but you wouldn't know it by the way this team has played since Reggie Miller retired years ago.

Under Larry Bird's guidance, the Pacers have been a non-factor, and most likely will continue to struggle in the 2011-2012 NBA season.

The Pacers have added some talent to their roster, but far too many failings in past NBA Drafts has prolonged a rebuilding process that shouldn't have taken nearly this long.

Indiana is lead by versatile forward Danny Granger, a fine NBA player but a guy who would only be the second or third best option on a really good team.

Paul George is a promising young talent and one of the team's best draft picks over the past decade, and the team is also high on George Hill. Tyler Hansbrough has been a solid role player and certainly fills a need on the team.

The Pacers might be slightly improved this year, but it's hard to see them making any significant impact in the Eastern Conference playoff race. They are still at least a couple of good players away from being a factor in the division and conference.
