News and Information
The hiring of head coach Larry Brown was expected to signal a new era for the Charlotte Bobcats, who have not had a winning record since the franchise team came into existence.

Brown has been noted throughout his career for his ability to turn around hopeless teams but also for his failure to take them to the next level of winning a championship. He also tends to jump from job to job, making him a risky coaching hire.

However, Brown hasn't been able to make his magic work yet with the hapless Bobcats, who don't exactly have a lot of talent to work with.

Part of the talent issue has to do with general manager Michael Jordan, who is more likely to be found out on the golf course somewhere playing 18 holes than watching top college prospects.

Jordan's laid back and hands off attitude has rubbed some the wrong way much the way it did when he held the same job with the Washington Wizards.

However, Jordan recently came out and apologized for some bad draft picks and his shortcomings as a GM. It's a great first step for Jordan to acknowledge past mistakes in order to help the team in the future.

Adam Morrison is one of those bad draft picks, and it's close to the time where we can start calling him a bust. Morrison is seeing just 15 minutes per game and averaging under five points.

The team is definitely improved this year under Brown, but they still have a long way to go to get where they want to be.

The team traded away Jason Richardson to the Phoenix Suns earlier in the year, which cost them their top scorer. They have also been without Gerald Wallace for some time now due to multiple injuries.

Rookie D.J. Augustin and Raymond Felton have split time at the point guard spot and both have actually played pretty well. Brown is not a fan of Felton, but he has improved during his second NBA season.

There is a lot of young talent on this team, but it's going to be awhile before the Bobcats are a playoff contender.
