NBA All Star Weekend 2010 Preview The NBA All-Star weekend is always a fantastic event, but this year's version is sure to be the biggest and best yet.

Dallas is the host city of this year's event, and Mavericks team owner Mark Cuban always does it up big. In fact, he's doing it up real big this year thanks to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

The All-Star festivities and game will take place at the new Cowboys stadium, which is the biggest in the country. For a basketball setup, the stadium can seat up to 100,000 people, which would shatter any and all attendance records for any All-Star event from any sport.

Cuban is hoping to push the envelope and go over the century mark in attendance while NBA commissioner David Stern believes that the 80,000 mark would be a huge accomplishment.

The event very well could put the NBA back on the map and in the conversation as the most popular sport in the United States, a title currently held with ease by the NFL.

The weekend will kick off on February 11-13 with the NBA All-Star jam session taking place at the Dallas Convention Center. Fans can meet and get autographs from current and former players while testing their basketball skills in a number of different games and contests.

February 12 will be the date of the T-Mobile Rookie and Youth Jam session at the arena, which features the rookies taking on the second-year players.

The All-Star Saturday night activities will take place on February 13, which includes a shooting contest, point guard skills challenge, three-point contest and the ever-popular slam dunk contest.

The All-Star game will be play in its usual Sunday evening time slot on February 14, featuring quite possibly the 24 greatest athletes in the world.
