2011 World Series Preview We are on the cusp of the 2011 MLB World Series, but oddly, the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies are nowhere to be found.

Instead, the Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals found significant momentum in the playoffs and rode it all the way to the World Series.

While both teams don't have the pitching you might expect for World Series opponents, both lineups feature plenty of firepower, which was on display from each in their respective championship series'.

It's hard to predict a winner simply because both teams seem to be quite hot at the moment and playing above their heads.

The Cardinals have the advantage with the veteran skipper in Tony La Russa and the best player in the series in first baseman Albert Pujols, but the Rangers have more good players spread out across the diamond.

It should be a terrific series, but someone's magical ride will have to come to an end. Look for the Rangers to win their first ever World Series, taking out the Cardinals in six games.
