Nebraska Cornhuskers 2010 Mid Season Review
Posted 11/5/2010
The Nebraska Cornhuskers were a second away from winning the Big 12 championship and heading to a BCS bowl last year. It looks like they are on track to recover from that devastating loss.

The Cornhuskers knew they would have a good defense this year despite losing Ndamakong Suh to the NFL, but would the offense be able to score enough points to make them one of the nation's top teams?

Freshman quarterback Taylor Martinez has been nothing short of sensational, especially when it comes to running the option. He is still a work in progress in the passing game, but he has helped Nebraska roll up some big point totals this year.

The only blemish for Nebraska this year was a home loss to Texas, the same team that beat them in the Big 12 championship game. Nebraska and their fans waited almost an entire year for the chance at revenge with the Longhorns, making it a terribly disappointing defeat.

Nebraska currently sits atop the North division, which is by far the weaker of the two in the Big 12. Missouri has pushed the Cornhuskers this season, but Nebraska recently stomped them, meaning they will control their own destiny the rest of the way.
