BBVA Compass Bowl Tickets

The Pittsburgh Panthers will take on the Southern Methodist Mustangs in the BBVA Compass Bowl at Legion Field in Birmingham, AL, on January 7 at 1:00 p.m. (ET)

This is Pittsburgh's second straight trip to the BBVA Compass Bowl, and their head coach might not be around for very long if he doesn't start finding another holiday destination. They didn't even clinch a bowl berth until defeating Syracuse in the season finale.

Pittsburgh's only good win of the year came against South Florida, though it didn't help that they lost their star running back for the season with a serious knee injury.

SMU is back on the map with June Jones at the helm, finally getting past the death penalty that decimated their program more than two decades ago. The team started out 5-1, but then barely finished with enough wins to become bowl eligible.

Neither team finished the season particularly strong, but at least both teams come in on a winning note. This is a complete toss-up, but it's also a game that very few people will even tune in to watch.
