R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Tickets

The R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl features a matchup between the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns and the San Diego State Aztecs on December 17 at 9 p.m. at the newly named Mercedes-Benz Superdome, formerly Louisiana Superdome.

San Diego State will be playing in consecutive bowl games for the first time in more than 50 years, so they aren't exactly used to playing deep into the holiday season.

Then again, it's not like Louisiana-Lafayette has a lot of experience playing in December, either. This will be the first bowl trip for the Ragin' Cajuns in 41 years, so fans of both schools will be really fired up for this one.

Of course, the big thing to note in this game is the homefield advantage that Louisiana-Lafayette will enjoy playing so close to home in the Superdome in New Orleans. With the game being played right down the road and it being their first bowl game in such a long time, the fan support should be tremendous.

While an explosive passing attack is always fun to watch, it will be the running game that gets the most attention in this contest. San Diego State running back Ronnie Hillman ranks third in the country in rushing, averaging 138 yards per game. The Ragin' Cajuns will have to shut him down to have any chance of pulling out a victory.
