New Mexico Bowl Tickets

The Wyoming Cowboys and Temple Owls will square off in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl on December 17 at 2 p.m. to kick off the holiday bowl season.

The Owls had a strong season despite losing head coach Al Golden to the Miami Hurricanes last offseason. This is the second straight year they will go bowling after years of ineptitude.

Both teams won eight games this year, though it's worth noting that Temple played significantly better competition. They thrashed Maryland on the road and took Penn State down to the wire, coming up just short in their upset bid.

These are two teams that have the ability to score points, but it's the defensive side where this game will be won. Temple has a stout defense while Wyoming is prone to giving up points in bunches.

It's also worth mentioning that Wyoming is terrible against the run and the Owls have one of the top rushing attacks in the country, lead by star running back Bernard Pierce. Temple isn't a great passing team, so look for Wyoming to stack the box and try to make the Owls one dimensional.
