New Era Pinstripe Bowl Tickets

The Iowa State Cyclones will square off against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl on December 30 at 3:20 p.m.

Other than the strange kickoff time, this game is exciting because it's only in its second year and is played at Yankees Stadium in New York. It's hard to think of a better place for a football game, and both of these teams are fortunate enough to have the honor of playing in such a great city and stadium.

This is an example of two teams who have been fairly regular attendees of bowl games but have been very inconsistent throughout the season. Rutgers has the upperhand since they have so many kids from the New York area on their roster, and Yankee Stadium is just a short train ride away.

Iowa State pulled off the shocker of the year by knocking off previously undefeated Oklahoma State just a few weeks ago, ruining the Cowboys' hopes of playing for a national championship. Ironically, the Cyclones then turned around and lost their final two games of the season.

Rutgers was even less impressive than Iowa State this year, with their biggest wins coming at home over Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. Three of their four losses were close, but this certainly won't be the most entertaining game of the bowl season.
