Sheraton Hawaii Bowl Tickets

The Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles will square off against the Nevada Wolfpack in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl in Honolulu on December 24 at 8 p.m. (ET)

This games used to be played on Christmas Day but was moved to Christmas Eve a few years ago. Still, there's nothing like watching football in sunny, warm Hawaii in late December.

It's been a teriffic season for Southern Miss, which lost just two games by a combined nine points. They capped a great regular season with a stunning upset on the road of previously unbeaten Houston, vaulting the Eagles into the AP Top 25.

Nevada runs the famed pistol attack, which always makes them a fun team to watch. It's definitely a different type of team to prepare for, but Southern Miss has a few weeks to watch film and get ready for the big game.

I was really impressed with the way Southern Miss played, especially with their resounding win over Houston, but Nevada is well-coached and typically plays well in bowl games. This should be a great matchup.
