2010 Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl Predictions
Posted 12/7/2010
The Nebraska Cornhuskers will face off against the Washington Huskies in the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl on December 30 at 10 p.m. at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.
For the second straight season, Nebraska came within a field goal of winning the Big 12 championship game and earning a berth into a BCS bowl. Instead, they will have to settle for the Holiday Bowl. But hey, San Diego sure beats Lincoln in the heart of winter.
Washington isn't exactly happy with the way their season went, either. Quarterback Jake Locker came into the season hyped as the best prospect for next year's NFL Draft, but his stock took a hit.
Fellow Pac-10 quarterback Andrew Luck passed him during the season, and there's no saying where he might end up being drafted at this point.
This is actually a rematch of a game the two teams played earlier this season when Nebraska went up to Washington and whacked them, 56-21. The game should be closer this time around, at least we hope.
Prediction: Nebraska 42, Washington 23
