Tostitos Fiesta Bowl 2011 Preview The 2011 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl will be played on January 1 at 8:30 p.m. at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.

This bowl pits an at-large BCS team against the Big 12 champion, provided that team is not selected for the BCS national championship.

This year marks the 40th Fiesta Bowl, and there have been some tremendous games over the four decades.

The best game, and one of greatest player of all-time regardless of the bowl, was back in 2006 when Boise State defeated Oklahoma in overtime, 43-42. It was Boise State's true coming-out party, as they finally had a chance to prove they were for real by toppling a highly ranked team from a major conference.

Last year's game also featured Boise State, and the Broncos were able to hold off the TCU Horned Frogs, 17-10, in a matchup of two mid-major teams who have made it to the big time.
