2011 Military Bowl Preview Fittingly, the Air Force Falcons will face off against the Toledo Rockets at DC's RFK Stadium in the Military Bowl on December 28 at 4:30 p.m.

A fairly new bowl game, the Military Bowl featured Ralph Friedgen's farewell last year, with the Maryland Terrapins coming away with a big victory over East Carolina in their own backyard at RFK Stadium.

Air Force won seven games for the fifth straight season, a school record. However, the team fell short of expectations because of a litany of injuries that hit the team.

Despite the injuries, Air Force still managed to lay claim to the Commander in Chief's trophy thanks to a thrilling one-point victory over Navy. The Falcons also hung tough against Boise State and didn't get completely blown out by TCU in games against top 25 opponents.

Toledo finished out the season with three straight wins, but they also fell short of expectations by failing to land in the MAC championship game. They took Ohio State down to the wire earlier in the year, so they do have some talent on both sides of the ball.
