Hyundai Sun Bowl Tickets

The Utah Utes will take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the Hyundai Sun Bowl in El Paso, TX, on December 31 at 2:00 p.m. (ET)

Georgia Tech has been terribly inconsistent this year, which is suddenly becoming about the only consistent thing about them under head coach Paul Johnson. Their defense is up and down and the triple-option offense simply works against some teams and is shut down by others.

Utah had an uneven first year in the Pac-12, but they were able to get on track during the second half of the season. They won four of their last five, dropping only the season finale to Colorado in a very tight game. The quarterback play has been inconsistent, but the defense has been stout.

This game will come down to whether or not Utah's stout defense can shut down Georgia Tech's potent rushing attack. If Utah can shut down the option game, Georgia Tech will be forced to throw the ball, and they simply don't have the personnel to be successful doing that with any frequency.

This should be a close one, but I think Utah, especially with almost a month to prepare, can shut down Georgia Tech's option game.
