The Wolverines had a solid 2006 season and should be ready for more success in 2007. Michigan finished 11-2, but finished on a disappointing note when they were manhandled by USC in the Rose Bowl, 32-18.
Michigan also lost a nailbiter on the road to Ohio State, a game that essentially determined which team would end up playing for the national championship and which team would play in the Rose Bowl.
There are few more stories programs in the country than Michigan and very few stadiums a college football fan would rather see a game than the "Big House." It's definitely a place every college football fan should go experience.
Chad Henne returns for another season and should get another chance to show he can put the team on his shoulders and lead them to victories against other strong opponents. Henne performed well in both the Ohio State game and the USC game, with the defense being a big reason the team lost the two games.
On offense, the Wolverines lose running back Michael Hart, who was never really flashy but always seemed to be a difference maker on offense. Also gone is wide receiver Steve Breaston, who had blazing speed but never seemed to find enough consistency to live up to his potential.
Henne will have the services of Adrian Arrington, who actually ended up being the best and most consistent wide receiver on the team. He put all of his talents on display in the stunning blowout victory over Notre Dame.
Michigan plays a fairly difficult out of conference schedule in 2007, with games against rival Notre Dame and Oregon. Big 10 games that could be tough include Penn State, Ohio State and at Wisconsin.
With Henne back, anything is possible for Michigan. Ohio State lost a lot of top players from last season, and the reason the quarterback returned was another chance at a Big 10 title and national championship. Both goals are real possibilities.
