Kansas State Wildcats 2010-11 Basketball Season Preview
Posted 11/4/2010
The Kansas State Wildcats were rebuilt under Bob Huggins, but once head coach Kevin Martin took over, the program really ascended to a new level.

The team lost point guard Denis Clemente, and it will certainly be tough to replace him. However, backcourt mate Jacob Pullen returns, meaning the beard is back! It also means that the Wildcats return one of the top players in the country.

Pullen was as clutch as they come in the NCAA tournament, and the Wildcats came oh so close to reaching the Final Four. The Wildcats lost a close, hard-fought game to Butler, which came within a few inches of winning the national championship.

Martin is one of the most entertaining and fiery coaches in the business. He isn't afraid to get in a player's face when he makes a mistake, but the players love him for his enthusiasm. If nothing else, he coaches one of the toughest teams in the country.

The Wildcats may not be the most polished of teams, but they aren't afraid to play anyone, making them extremely dangerous. It wouldn't be surprising to see Kansas State reach the Final Four.
