Duke Blue Devils 2010-11 Basketball Season Preview
Posted 11/4/2010
The Duke Blue Devils changed their offensive and defensive philosophy last year to better fit their personnel, and the result was Coach K's first national championship since 2001.

Duke lost key players like Brian Zoubek and Jon Scheyer to graduation, but they managed to retain Nolan Smith and Kyle Singler, both of whom were potentially high NBA Draft picks.

The Blue Devils added a few key freshmen, with point guard Kyrie Irving drawing rave reviews. He is expected to be the team's starting point guard this year, with Smith playing alongside him.

As if Duke wasn't already loaded enough, transfer Seth Curry is now eligible to play for the team. Curry spent last year practicing with the Blue Devils, and some insiders even claim he is the team's best player. That's a scary thought.

Duke is absolutely loaded, but it remains to be seen whether this group can harness the same chemistry of last year's team. The Blue Devils should win the ACC with little problem, and seem like a near lock for the Final Four.

Don't be surprised if Duke is cutting down the nets again next April, making it back-to-back national championships for Coach K and Co.
