2010 Skeleton - Women's Seating Chart

The women's skeleton is similar to the bobsled and luge except that it is an individual event, not team oriented.

The skeleton has been a fleeting Olympic event, as it was included in the program for men back in 1928 and 1948 but was then eliminated.

It was reintroduced at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah for both men and women and appears to be safe for the time being.

The United States women have done surprising well in the event, leading all countries with the most medals.

The U.S. women won the gold and silver medals back in 2002 but then failed to place anyone in the top three spots in 2006.

The disappointment from 2006 will no doubt fuel the fire for the women heading into the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver.

Because the event has had its share of trouble sticking, you should definitely check it out if you have a chance. You never know when it might be eliminated again, and it could be a permanent move.
