Women's cross country skiing is a sport many winter weather fans can identify with.

A lot of people who live in snow country enjoy putting on a pair of ski's and gliding across the winter wonderland, and this sport is just the competitive version of just that.

The amount of endurance, strength and physical fitness required for cross country skiing is something anyone would find admirable.

The European countries absolutely dominated the sport, so don't expect to see any United States athletes receiving any medals.

In fact, the United States generally doesn't even have any women in contention for a medal in this event.

It may not be one of the most exciting sports to watch in person, but you have to admire the ability and fitness of the athletes.

It's definitely an event that anyone lucky enough to attend the Winter Games in Vancouver should at least stop by and see as hundreds of athletes compete for Olympic glory.
