The men's snowboard halfpipe is an event much like that found in skateboarding where competitors do tricks as they go back and forth between two ramps.

The competition takes place in a showdown between two athletes, with the winner advancing and the loser going home.

The tricks are judged and given scores, and the athletes with the highest score is declared the winner.

The United States dominated this event at the 2006 Winter Olympics, claiming both the gold and silver medals.

Shaun White, known as one of the most popular and talented snowboarders in the world, brought home the gold.

Danny Kass won the silver medal, while Finland kept it from being all U.S. flags on the medal stand by bringing home the bronze.

It really was that close to three Americans on the medal stand, as Mason Aguirre finished in fourth place.
