If you want to see fast action on big, snow-covered hills, look no further than men's downhill skiing, which is also often referred to as alpine skiing.

It is by far the most dangerous form of the sports, as skiers often eclipse 80 mph as they speed their way down the course. To keep the course as icy as possible, water and salt are put down to keep up the high speeds.

Because of the dangerous nature of the sport, netting is place around the course to possibly catch any skiers that were to veer off of the course and leave their feet.

Over the past two decades, two skiers have died in downhill competition while another has been paralyzed from the neck down.

When it comes to the United States, Bode Miller is the guy to keep an eye on, for better or for worse.

There is no doubting Miller's immense talent, but he tends to shrink on some of the biggest stages.

He also isn't the most mature guy around, and often makes questionable choices on the nights before a big race.

If he could ever mature and get over pre-race jitters, he could be a multi-time gold medal Olympic champion.
