Starting at the US Capitol, the Parade follows Pennsylvania Avenue to 15th Street.

The approximate start time of the Parade is 2:30pm. The start time of the Parade depends on the
length of the Swearing In Ceremony and the President's lunch with Congress.
The Parade lasts approximately 2.5 hours.

Important Information about the Inaugural Parade
Record crowds are expected for the Parade. We advise everyone to arrive four to five hours early to allow ample time to get to your seats, which are unassigned, first come-first serve. The Parade gates open at 7am.

Metro will be the easiest way to get to the Parade. The Metro Center, Gallery Place and Judiciary Square stops are convenient to some of the best seated areas of the parade route, and to several of the public entry points. NOTE: Due to security measures, the Archives/Navy Memorial, Mount Vernon Square and Smithsonian Metro stations will be closed.
