The Youth Inaugural Ball, one of President-elect Barack Obama's Official Balls, will be held at the Washington Hilton on January 20th.

After a campaign and a message directed toward the youth vote, Obama is making good on his word and inviting Young Americans aged 18 to 35 to celebrate his swearing-in with him and his administration.

MTV will be broadcasting live from the event, which will include performances from as yet unnamed "top recording artists". The broadcast will also highlight footage of service activities from around the country, taken during the "National Day of Service" on Martin Luther King Day.

The ball is sure to be one of the hippest of the evening, based on the average age - it promises to be a great time!
