The Welcome to Washington Black Tie Gala will kick off the 2009 Inaugural festivities on Friday, January 16th at the Thunder Grill of America in Union Station, from 9 p.m. through 3 a.m.

Guests will commence the season in style with ten fully-stocked cash bars, 2 dance floors, mock casino with "Obama Bucks," and two commemorative Inauguration 2009 Souvenirs.

Famed DC radio host Russ Parr in the Morning from 93.9 WKYS will host the event, and Biz Markie will appear.

A number of great organizations are supporting the event, including InauguralEventsDC, First Fridays United, eVIPlist, Black Professionals Connection, the IDC Group, VP Productions and The Angels & Barackawear.
