The Official Inauguration Ball for residents of Southern states will be held at the National Guard Armory to celebrate President-elect Barack Obamas swearing in.

The ball is intended for residents of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas, and will feature an appearance from President-elect Barack Obama and a number of other special guests.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee has announced that the entertainment for the event will be provided by the Wil Gravatt Band.
