2010 Tennessee Titans Season Preview
Posted 7/20/2010
The Tennessee Titans rebounded from a horrific start last season to finish on a very positive note and look like a team poised to take a big step forward in 2010.

Quarterback Vince Young began the season as the backup to Kerry Collins, but the team really started to take off when the youngster replaced the veteran under center.

Running back Chris Johnson remains the key cog to this offense. His blazing speed makes him a threat to break one loose for a touchdown every single time he touched the ball. The Titans biggest worry has to be giving him as many touches as possible without wearing him down too much or putting him at a higher risk for injury.

The Titans are hoping that wide receiver Kenny Britt will continue to develop in his second season and become a big-time target for Young. They are also hopeful that Young can continue to mature on and off the field, which is a concern after the brawl he incited in the offseason.

The defense improved toward the end of last year but clearly misses the presence of defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth to clog up the middle and collapse the pocket.

Tennessee is in a tough division so it will be a tough task to reach the postseason. However, if they can build off of where they left off last year, the Titans stand a good shot at reaching the playoffs.
